Private Residence
Morristown, New York
The standing seam metal roof and clapboard siding of local farmhouse tradition are combined with the broad overhangs and rich color palette associated with river houses to create a unique 3600 square foot residence on the shore of the St. Lawrence River. Anchored in a clearing by a massive chimney of local sandstone, the living room pavilion creates two distinct exterior spaces, the arrival court to the east and the riverside terrace to the west.
