Fire destroyed the original home on this dramatic river lookout. Built on the existing foundations, the new building fronts a busy road uphill with a close-shouldered presence. The opposite front opens to the view and river and straddles the dramatic granite outcropping. The linear form of the house is a thinly veiled transition for the arriving vacationers.
