Private Residence
Clayton, New York
This 5000 square foot house sits on the limestone palisades overlooking the St. Lawrence River in the Thousand Islands of New York. Inspired by travels to Cotswald, England, the owner requested a residence with similar materials and forms. The exterior materials are stone, stucco with wood accents, cedar shake roof. Terrace and gardens take advantage of the natural rock outcroppings. The residence affords water views from the three main bedroom suites and all the public spaces. A 2500 square foot Guest House forms a service courtyard for the complex; the structure provides three more vehicle stalls and an apartment with two bedroom suites.
