The plan for this year-round residence, built on “The Lion’s Head Cliff” overlooking the St. Lawrence River, was developed from the owner’s affinity for varied sized and shaped rooms, irregular plans, and dwellings consisting of accretions. The emphasis on formal detailing was generated from the owner’s childhood home in New Jersey. The house incorporates a green house and is highlighted with a rounded mahogany finished library on the second floor. The room sits as a beacon overlooking its river setting.
